Why is this change of licence happening?

To service its European customers after Brexit occurred, Nium (formerly Ixaris) had to apply for an additional license within the EU. Nium successfully obtained a license in Malta bearing the name Ixaris Financial Services Malta Limited, which is regulated by the Malta Financial Service Authority (MFSA).

Subsequently, for any business registered within the European Economic Area (EEA), we must move your account to operate on the Ixaris Financial Services Malta license.

How will the change of licence affect us?

As part of the license change, we were required to set up EU banking accounts to safeguard your funds. As a result, the details used to fund your account (VBAN) will change.

In addition, your card product(s) that were previously under the UK license will change, and you will receive the equivalent EU card product(s).

Where can we find our new funding account details?

The new funding account details will be sent to you after the migration email.

Should you misplace this after migration, you can find the details by following the steps in the below link:

What happens if we send funds to the old virtual IBANs?

Any funds sent to the old virtual IBAN will be suspended for manual review, resulting in delays in crediting the designated funding account. You must apply the new IBAN details soon to avoid any potential deposit delays.

Are our funds safe?

Nium, follow all regulations and controls imposed on us by the Malta Financial Service Authority.
