Reporting & Reconciliation

How can I access reports?

You can download daily and other reports directly from your Nium Portal:

  • Navigate to Reports > Manage Reports.
  • Select and download reports as needed.

Alternatively, if you use sFTP for automated retrieval, reports are available at reports.files.com.
Note: Separate login credentials are required to access reports via sFTP.

It's recommended to regularly download and archive these reports to ensure your data retention needs are met.

Where can I find daily and monthly transaction reports?

Daily and monthly reports are auto-generated and stored in your reporting repository, typically found under:

  • Transactions/Daily for daily reports
  • Transactions/Monthly for monthly summaries

These contain detailed records of card and Balance activity.

What is the reports retention policy?

The Nium Portal retains reports for 60 days. After this period, reports are automatically purged.

What columns and fields are included in the transaction CSV reports?

Reports generally include:

  • Transaction dates and timestamps
  • Unique transaction and reference IDs
  • Balance and card references
  • Currencies and amounts (original, billed, fees)
  • Transaction types and states
  • Merchant information (name, country, MCC)
  • Authorisation codes and related transaction references
  • Up to 20 custom tags used for your internal tracking

Reports provide a detailed, line-by-line view for reconciliation.

How are pending or suspended transactions displayed in reports?

Transactions in progress or suspended (e.g., marked as INITIALISED) appear with their current state clearly indicated. This helps identify items awaiting settlement or resolution.

How can I use tags to make reconciliation easier?

Tags are custom data fields you add to cards or transactions. They help:

  • Categorise expenses by project, department, or cost center.
  • Filter and group transactions in reports.
  • Match transactions with your internal accounting records.

Consistent use of tags simplifies and speeds reconciliation processes.
